About The Host
Amanda Morck is a 3rd generation native of Los Angeles and was a longtime resident of the Sunset Strip. Growing up on the beaches of Los Angeles and keenly attuned to the rock her parents were blasting through the stereo, her love of The Beach Boys, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Steely Dan and others like them, started early. As an adult, her passion for all things classic rock and Los Angeles history merged when she created the "My Rock Moment" podcast - an interview-based podcast focused on entertainment and music industry guests sharing their most memorable rock experiences.
With a desire to introduce classic rock to future generations, Amanda is an adjunct instructor of California rock history for Bradley University, with a curriculum focused on the evolution of the California music scene in the 60s and 70s - from the early days of surf rock to the release of the Eagles’ seminal album, Hotel California, in 1976. She also serves on the Board of Governors for Legends of the Sunset Strip, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization whose mission is to promote the arts, music, culture and history of the world-famous Sunset Strip in West Hollywood, California.
As a bona fide music junkie, Amanda loves discovering new bands and artists - especially those that pay homage to the classic rock era through their music.
